STEP 3 : Reduced Mobility

Please, be aware that there is a lot of walking and a lot of climbing stairs in Tokyo.

Very few places have reduced mobility access for people with handicap. Including the class facility.

STEP 5 :  Flights infos

airplane-ticket.png
Tokyo has two airports, Narita and Haneda . We recommend you fly into Haneda.

The cost to travel from Narita into the city can range from €25  to €100. Moreover Narita is outside of Tokyo and pretty far away. Please only book Narita flights if they are significantly less expensive (€500) or if Haneda flights are completely booked out.

STEP 7 :  Get Internet

mobile-access.png
There is two options to get internet easily in Japan.

1) If you have a modern mobile phone it may be compatible with e-sim. Which is the fastest and most convenient way to have an internet access. There are many good providers of e-sim in Japan, like Ubigi. You can buy it and activate it only after you arrived.

2) If you can't get an e-sim on your phone, you may want to consider renting a Pocket Wifi. It's a tiny device that you carry with you where you go and that will give you a Wifi. You can rent it before coming to Japan and get at the airport just after landing.

In case of emergency keep in mind that there are a lot of free wifi in Tokyo, especially in each convenience store (konbini).

STEP 9 :  Money and payment

Currency can be exchanged at the airport, Shinjuku or Shibuya if you need to.

There are many tax free item and shops (basket at minimum 5000 yens) like Donki or Bic Camera.

If you buy a lot of tax free items, you do not have to pay sales tax in Japan but you may have to pay importing duty in your own country.

It is important to keep in mind that in Japan cash is king. Many places don't take credit cards as a form of payment. You may want to carry some cash with you at all time. You can find ATM at many places like convenience store. Not all ATM take foreigners cards but most of them do.

STEP 2 : Medical Information

Please let us know long time in advance if you have a special condition that could impact the training in any ways.

If you need special medication be sure to take it with you and check if you're allowed to bring it in the country by plane.

For everybody, we need an emergency  contact information in case of emergency. Please send us an email about this as soon as  possible.

STEP 4 : What to bring ?

For the training itself no products, mannequin or tools of any kind are needed for you to bring.
Please do not bring other companies skin care into the training facility.

We would recommend you bring you textbooks - make sure your textbook is the most current up to date version.

Also be sure to bring comfortable clothes for the training, formal clothes are not required.

Please be sure to check your passport expiration date to avoid bad surprises.

Simple items and non prescription medication can be purchased over the counter in Japan .

STEP 6 :  How to move around

destination.gif
In Tokyo you use subways and trains and buses on a daily bases. There is many different transports companies that shares the lines that go through Tokyo. So here we don't use one transport subscription to get around.
Instead we use what is called an IC CARD.  They are physical prepaid cards where you deposit Yens on it to pay the transports. The two mains one are Suica and Pasmo. You need to get one of them (doesn't matter which one) when you arrive in Tokyo to move downtown freely.
They cost approximately 2000 Yens (around €12). But most of the cost will be deposit on the card for you to use immediately!

STEP 8 : Hotels & training venue

hotel.png
The average price for business Hotels will be between from €80 - 150 per night.

We recommend you stay near to Shinjuku or Shibuya district as the training venues will be easily accessible from these locations. The venues will most likely be in the Setagaya district.
Even if someplaces can be cheaper like Edogawa or Asakusa, it is on the opposite side of the city. So, if you never been to Japan you could loose a lot of time in transports.
You will find  below this a short list of hotels. They are simply examples of what you can look for, feel free to book something that suits your tastes better.
The exact training location will be decided based on the number of students attending. Candidates who have been approved to attend will be emailed the training address. Once this information is release we will provide you with the details on how to get there.

Please note: training will not be conducted at our head office.
For any further need for organizing we greatly recommend Japan Guide website !

STEP 10 :  Training Sessions !

Each level will involve 3 days of training (unless otherwise specified). The days can be very intense and can run overtime. If you would like to do additional travel within Japan while you are here, we ask that you do this before or after the training. Please do not do this during training. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the training facility.

Classes will be taught in English or Japanese. Please let us know if you require a translator. We can provide a translator at your expense but we no longer allow you to bring your own translator.
